#ReadYourFaceOff Book Club | August

545840

Hi book nerds! I wanted to help spread the word about the #readyourfaceoff book club group read for August as well as share the dates for the 24 hour readathon for this month. The Read Your Face Off Book Club was created by my friend Riley (@rmfickfack). I will post her announcement video below so you can check it out as well as the link to the Goodreads group if you are interested in joining.

Goodreads Group: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/545840-read-your-face-off-book-club

The votes are in and the group read for August is going to be:

27834600

I’ve been on wanting to read this one for a while. I put it off after reading The Woman in Cabin 10 since I wasn’t thrilled with that book. Since then I’ve read more of Ruth Ware’s work and I’m ready to give this book a try.

10572

We are continuing our read-a-long of A Clash of Kings until August 31st. I’m a little over halfway through this book and loving it. So much is going on and I am having a hard time putting it down.

The 24 hour #readyourfaceoff readathon will take place on Saturday, August 18th – Sunday, August 19th. Don’t forget to include #readyourfaceoff when sharing your TBRs and updates. I will be posting my tbr, updates and wrap on on Instagram.

That’s all the information I had to share with you today. I hope you decide to join in on the fun.

As always keep on reading and stay book nerdy my friends!

  2. “It’s like the serenity prayer. Change what you can, put up with what you can’t, and be wise enough to know the difference.”
  3. This book is set in London. I would love to visit London but within the social group in this book. The characters are insufferable and I really want to kick them all in the shins.

TASK IT TUESDAY | #COYER #taskittues

Task-it-Tuesday-300x300

Task it Tuesday was created by the fabulous Geeky Blogger and adopted first by Because Reading and now by Bloggiesta!

What is Task it Tuesday? Task it Tuesday is a weekly meme dedicated to the list makers of the blogging world 🙂 It’s all about being productive and organized – on your blog and in real life (if you so chose). By sharing our lists we get instant accountability partners and also get ideas of things to add to our lists (or sometimes ways to tackle tasks more efficiently). We hope you’ll join us!

Hi book nerds! This week I’m going to work on finishing some of the posts I didn’t complete during Blog Ahead. Most of them of course are book reviews since those take a bit longer to create. Before I go into my plans for the week let’s do a quick review of my tasks from last week.

Here is what I tackled this week:

★ Write and schedule June’s weekly posts

★ Write and schedule 5 book reviews for #COYER

★ Finish my June wrap up post

★ Share blog posts on social media

★ Visit and comment on at least 3 other blogs and booktube channels.

Here is what I hope to get done this week. Wish me luck!

★ Finish the posts I started during Blog Ahead

★ Start pre-filming videos for VEDA

★ Finish my Goodreads Want to Read Read It or Delete It post for July

★ Share blog posts and videos on social media

★ Visit and comment on at least 3 other blogs and booktube channels.

That’s it! What tasks/goals did you set up for yourself this week? Let’s chat down below in the comments.

As always keep on reading and stay book nerdy my friends!

Blog Ahead | June ’18 Wrap Up

blog ahead june 2018.jpg

Blog Ahead is a blogging challenge hosted by Anna @herding cats and burning soup. The Mini Blog Ahead challenge is a great way to get ahead of your blogging by increasing your amount of scheduled posts by 15. You can find out more about the challenge by clicking on the link to Anna’s blog.

My goal for this mini round of Blog Ahead was to schedule 15 blog posts. I managed to complete 10 scheduled posts and prep 5 posts. I plan to finish the remaining 5 soon and get them scheduled. The majority of the posts were scheduled for August so you will see them go live on the blog later this summer. I still consider this a successful round of Blog Ahead even though I did not complete all the posts. I figured out that the best way to fit blogging into my schedule was to sit down and write my posts in the mornings on Saturday or Sunday before I start other things. It is what works for me at this time given my schedule.

I look forward to the next round of Blog Ahead. Maybe I’ll get all my posts completed in time during the next round.

Did you participate in Blog Ahead? How did you do? Let me know down below in the comments.

As always keep on reading and stay book nerdy my friends!

  1. The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty
  2. “You’re some kind of thief, then?”
“That a very narrow-minded way of looking at it. I prefer to think of myself as a merchant of delicate tasks.”
  3. The world in this book might be magical and mysterious but it is also filled with danger. I don’t think I’d want to even visit because I’d most likely died.

I haven’t done a Task It Tuesday in a bit. Life got busy on me and my spare time has been spent reading instead of blogging. I need to get back into my routine of blogging ahead so I signed up to participate in the Blog Ahead blogging challenge. However, I fell behind with that as well. I’m hoping to catch up on the goal I set for myself before 7/6.
