{Blogmas #1} December TBR & Goals

dectbr

Well hello there December! I can’t believe it is the last month of the year already. I feel like I blinked and the whole year just passed me by. Am I the only one that feels that way? Who knows! I decided to attempt Blogmas in lieu of Vlogmas this year. This should be interesting to see if it is easier to blog or vlog on a daily basis. I’m gonna guess blogging is easier since there are less steps involved. I’m going to be pretty random with the content of my Blogmas posts. They will range from random holiday ramblings to gift ideas and my usual bookish posts. The length will vary as well depending on what I’m blogging about that day.

I have many goals for December. I want to finish out 2016 strong as far as the blog goes and hopefully finish the books I’m currently in the middle of right now. How many books you ask? 10…I can explain I swear. I’ve been starting books and then setting them aside if they don’t fit into a reading challenge/readathon I’m participating in at the time. The problem is I don’t pick those books back up immediately and well…they have piled up on me. So my goal is to finish the books I have on my currently reading shelf on Goodreads before the end of the year so I can start 2017 off with a clean slate reading wise.

Here are the books I need to finish before the end of the year:

Aside from attempting Blogmas for the first time, I have a couple of other blog related goals/tasks I would like to complete this month. I want 2017 to be a better blogging year for me than 2016 turned out to be. I’m still a bit slumpy when it comes to blogging but I’m tired of waiting to be inspired. I’ve decided I’m going to brainstorm during December and come up with some blogging ideas for 2017. I also want to do some research to see if there are blogging tools, other than the ones I’m currently using, that will help me become a more efficient and prolific blogger. It’s all about getting organized.

Goals:

  1. Brainstorm blogging ideas in bullet journal
  2. Create a blogging schedule for 2017
  3. Figure out what blogging/reading challenges I want to participate in for 2017 and add them to my Google calendar
  4. Update blog theme/layout
  5. Catch up on book review backlog
  6. Sign up for the 2017 Bookish Resolutions Challenge
  7. Plan out what to read for COYER and set up a schedule for it.

Well those are my plans for December. Hopefully I can accomplish everything on the list and possible tackle some more, but I’m going to leave it at that for now.

Let’s chat! Are you participating in Blogmas? Leave me the links to your Blogmas posts in the comments section, I’d love to check them out. Also, feel free to leave links to your December TBR posts as well. I’m up for a bit of blog hopping.

Happy Holidays Book Nerds!
