    1. I would recommend skipping the prologue if you decide to pick them up. It really is just a summary of everything that happened in The Hobbit and very info dumpy.
      The first book of The Fellowship of the Ring moved very slow for me, but I’m really starting to enjoy it now. I would recommend you give it a try just be prepared for the style of writing. Tolkien loved his words and describing things in detail. Be sure to let me know your thoughts if you decide to read it 🙂
