Some Kind of Wonderful is the second book in Sarah Morgan’s Puffin Island series. It’s a second chance romance between a funny and unpredictable young woman named Brittany Forrest and bad boy turned pilot Zachary Flynn. The two were married for a like a hot minute when they were teenagers before things fell apart. Re-united after 10 years Brittany and Zach discover that the chemistry they share never died, if anything it has grown stronger.
Some Kind of Wonderful is the perfect read for Spring or Summer. It has the perfect blend of a sweet and light-hearted romance that is set amid a beach town setting. Brittany and Zach will have you pulling for them to make it to their HEA from the very beginning of the story to the very end.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun to explore the world of the Puffin Island series further and reconnect with characters from the previous book. Morgan does an amazing job of bringing the setting, and characters to life. It almost feels like you are re-visiting an old friend when you pick up one of her books. Although this is the second installment in the series it can be read as a standalone. I always recommend reading a series in order though to avoid any kind of spoilers. I recommend this to anyone that is looking for a good summer/beach read.
