Book Review

{Book Review} Falling Under (Ink & Chrome #2) by Lauren Dane

My Thoughts:

Falling Under by Lauren Dane is a sexy and sultry romance that leaves a reader downright satisfied. Duke Bradshaw has been lusting after his neighbor, Carmella Rossi, for a while now. So when his office manager quits, he jumps on the opportunity to hire Carmella in an effort to get closer to her. Duke is the co-owner of Twisted Steel, Carmella’s new boss, and she is determined to keep him at arm’s length. Will Duke ever convince Carmella to give him a chance?

Duke Bradshaw is charming, sexy, loyal, confident, and caring. He understands Carmella and he is very careful of how he interacts with her so he can earn her trust. I like that no matter how many times Carmella gives him reasons to walk away, he never gives up on her.

Carmella is stubborn, independent, and as a character she can be a bit frustrating. She’s definitely an individual that has been shaped by her past. There are times where her behavior or decisions made it a bit hard to like her as a character.

Duke and Carmella both have strong personalities, but I think they come together as a couple beautifully. The chemistry between them is undeniable, no matter how hard Carmella fights it. It’s not all about lust with these two though, they also share a relationship that is based on friendship.

Overall, Falling Under is a very enjoyable read. Duke and Carmella make a great couple, they compliment each other’s personality so well. Their chemistry was smoking hot. If you like alpha tatted up heroes with a soft side, then you definitely want to read this one. I think you’ll enjoy it, I know I did.
